About Toddler Praise
Once those infants are waddling, the dynamics change for families. Toddler Praise includes
four lessons for toddlers (14 months-24 month) and parents. These sessions underscore the
Faith Gardener seeds of faith community and attentiveness through growing whole and holy
children. Families will engage in discussion of the language and physical challenges of a toddler. Although
the format is similar to Baby Praise, the environment and challenges change. Families
will come together again and share, learn and grow in their faith.

Sample from the Activities:
Session 1: Introductions
Facilitator welcomes whole group. Help the group introduce themselves. Rather than going
around a circle, try rolling balls of different colors between families. Designate one
color of ball as the introduction ball. Whoever has the ball will introduce their family.
Be prepared for fun as toddlers chase the ball. This large group activity will introduce
everyone while providing great fun.
Session 3: Large Group Discussion
As children play with toys in the center of the circle, ask parents to share
their child's greatest physical accomplishment. Think together about
the number of skills necessary to go from crawling to walking. Share any interesting
stories about underestimating a toddler's ability to move.
